The Rainbow Bridge

In Memory of Our Feline Friends

Ladybug

Ladybug

Ladybug was adopted about six years ago by her mom, Kathy, who absolutely adored her. She had the very best of care and a wonderful home. A former One by One shelter kitty, Ladybug crossed the Rainbow Bridge on July 10, 2004 after an extended illness. Kathy will remember her as the "bright spot in her life", a special kitty who always made her smile and who was very brave during her seemingly endless vet visits. She loves you and misses you too, Kathy.

Puff

Puff

Puff came to One by One very confused. His people didn't want him anymore. He was frightened and stressed that he stopped eating and lost all hope of ever being loved. His world was turned upside-down. That's when I took him home and convinced him there was hope and I would take care of him and love him forever. Soon he started eating and trusting once again. Puff always held his beautiful black tail high and with dignity as he became comfortable with his new life. Puff crossed the Rainbow Bridge after a brief illness, on November 10, 2004. I will always remember and love you. -Marianne

Muffin

Muffin

Muffin was a One by One shelter kitty for many years. Overlooked by all potential adopters. NI am not sure why, but I do know it was their loss. Muffin came to live with me after he was diagnosed with kidney failure. Finally, a home of his own for the rest of his life! A home full of love. He could do anything he wanted, whenever he wanted. He thought he was lucky; but in fact, I was the lucky one. Muffin's personality flourished during the two years we had together, until he crossed the Rainbow Bridge on February 7, 2005. I miss him very much. - Marianne

Marissa

Marissa

Marissa was a One by One shelter kitty for many years. One of our rescuers found her in a terrible situation. Life was not pleasant in the streets of Reading. She had been abandoned and was struggling to survive. There was little hope of a future.

Shelter life was good for Marissa. She was happy living with the other kitties. One day we found a lump on her body – it was cancerous. The vet said Marissa had only 4-6 months to live. So, home she came with me for the rest of her life. Life was good and full of love. Marissa had a very happy final 18 months in my home – until, FIP and its complications took her across the Rainbow Bridge. I will always remember her as very determined to make the most of life and take advantage of every opportunity. She continued to hold on when it seemed all hope was gone. Certainly an example to live by!
With love, Marianne
